You are invited to attend a workshop on Maori and Pacific evaluation

Evaluation and culture in Aotearoa New Zealand and the Pacific: A sharing of evaluation and cultural perspectives across the Pacific

This workshop is designed for those working with Maori and Pacific people as evaluation practitioners, in government agencies, community groups and NGO’s.

Date: Tuesday 31^st August  2010 9.00 am – 4.30 pm

Venue: Lecture Theatre 2, Rutherford House, Victoria University of Wellington, Bunny Street, Wellington

Cost: FREE (If people do not attend or cancel 24 hours before the event, an invoice for $50 be sent to cover catering costs)

Context

The workshop has arisen from developments in Maori and Pacific approaches and experiences of evaluation and sharing of knowledge.  However, further consideration needs to be given to how responsive evaluation (policy, practice and theory) is to cultural contexts.

 Objectives

The primary objective of the workshop is to provide a forum for learning and sharing of knowledge and experiences of evaluations involving Maori and Pacific communities. A full record will be developed from the presentations and discussions of the workshop and made available on the UNESCO and AES websites.
